This amazing book depicts the true story that many immigrant children and families are facing today in the United States. Children who are in detention centers (cages) and at times separated from their parents. Very well written story. I totally recommend this book to everyone.

I’ve used your book most recently while providing therapy to a pair of young sisters whose mother was deported and were subsequently put into foster care. The book provided me a tool to help process a lot of what they had endured. The book can easily be used as a conversation starter for different topics in the therapeutic setting.
